Listen to the Lyrid Meteors on VHF
You can look for them April 21-22 from dark sky locations https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/meteor-shower/lyrids.html
or  you can 'listen' for Meteors if it is cloudy or during the daytime too.
Tune your FM broadcast radio to a distant station you can't normally hear about 100 to 500 miles away. Find a clear channel.
Kansas stations: KHCL 90.1  or KGCR  107.7.
You really need an outside antenna and a squelch helps too.
That station's signal will bounce off the ionized trail of a meteor and you will hear that station for a few seconds when that happens.
