[PPRAANet] Digital TV

I've got a roof-mounted dual band antenna connected to a USB tuner on my
PC. Some free software lets us stream and record from other devices (TV,
computers, phones). I preferred this setup because I only have to own one
decoder for the broadcast protocol, which is transcoded to more common
streaming protocols.

It's pretty easy to set up an effective antenna around here. At least a few
broadcast transmissions are from up on the mountains, so they're hard to
miss. Using a directional antenna I can receive Manitou Springs' Fox
station from my QTH north of C Springs with only occasional digital
breakup, and usually catch Denver as well off the back lobe. I'm just
bragging though - it's the same dumb commercials on all the stations anyway!
