[PPRAANet] mail box

Initially, it sounds like a good idea, but there are several things to
consider.
Being on the board of another ham organization, I recently acquired a PO
Box (last year). Some of the things to consider follow:
USPS expects box owners to list all people (yes - each and every person)
who should/could receive mail at that address.
Although the FCC switched to email addresses as the required primary
communication avenue several years ago, they still need/require that
mailing address for any special communications with individuals,
including 'service' actions.
I guess it's still the case that new licensees receive a lot of
third-party mailings based on that address on their license.
Organizations such as the ARRL go with the mailing address on the
license record.
There are still quite a few paper QSL cards that also go to the mailing
address of record, even as a club call station license trustee.
If a lot of people are using a common PO Box, it can end up being
somewhat of a nightmare for the key holder(s) to collect and distribute
incoming mail in a timely manner.
PO boxes are expensive these days; last year it was about $150 for a
year. May have gone up this year, with everything else!
Not trying to sound like a curmudgeon, but just trying to illuminate the
drawbacks.
