Thanks John for all your great points highlighting the ARRL and what they
do for Amateur Radio. I have been a ham radio operator for 60 years and an
ARRL member for 40 plus years. This organization has done many great things
for ham radio. I have never agreed with everything they have done but
overall they are our only source for frequency spectrum protection we
have. Many billions of dollars are being waved at the FCC seeking more
frequencies and those major corporations are looking at the ham bands for
those frequencies. The ARRL has been really effective at stopping many of
those attacks on the Ham Bands.
