[PPRAANet] Colorado QSO Party

Good Evening All,

 

The PPRAA.ORG website has been updated for the 2023 Colorado QSO Party.  If
you were at the meeting this past Wednesday you heard that there were only
16 of the 64 counties represented last year.  It would be nice if we can do
better than that this year.

 

The event runs one day - 1300 UTC 2 September 2023 until 0400 UTC 3
September 2023 (Saturday 7AM to 10PM MDT).  

 

If you enjoy contesting or have wondered if you would enjoy contesting, this
is a great opportunity.  You don't have to operate/participate the entire 15
hours, unless you are competitive, then I suggest you consider it, lol.

 

If you would like to participate, please go the website and follow the
instructions, it's not difficult.  You can sign up for a county that has not
been represented (that would be awesome), or just note what county you will
be operating from even if there is another station already shown, it doesn't
hurt to have multiple stations in the same county (a hunter may be able to
hear you and not someone else, especially if you are operating a different
band or mode).

I don't want to start a chain that fills peoples inboxes who may not be
interested.  Feel free to contact me directly (my info is good on QRZ).  If
anyone thinks it would be helpful / if there is enough interest, I can set
up a Microsoft Teams or Zoom Meeting on an evening sometime Mid August to
help however I can.

 

FYI - I will be operating in Las Animas County from Trinidad Lake State
Park, and yes I will combine it with a POTA Activation.
