Hello PPRAA,
I'd like to send a huge "thank you" to everyone who participated in
Winter Field Day 2023 over the past weekend. We had a lot of fun,
learned a lot of lessons, and did not suffer even a single instance of
frostbite!
Our stations performed well even when coated in ice, and we proved our
communications capability with all regions of the US and Canada
throughout the weekend. A few preliminary photos are available at
https://w0xld.com/2023-01-wfd/ .
Special thanks go to David/AD0QD for coordinating our location with
Northrop Grumman, to Ken/K0KWH for providing the shelter and
wood-burning stove, Dick/W5UDM for coordinating the portable toilet, and
a gigantic cast of PPRAA team members who provided stations, antennas,
feedlines, power, furniture, food, drinks, mentorship, camaraderie, and
outright fun! You make field day a successful activity for all. Thank
you again!

A few operators logged without including their call signs, so "thank

Derek's totals. It was great to see so many hitting that PTT and putting
PPRAA/AF0S on the air!
