[PPRAANet] Mobile radio help needed

Folks, let me tell you a story, followed with an ask. KA0YPX, Frank is one of our members. I've been trying very hard to get his VHF/UHF set up properly at his apartment. He currently has 2 mobile radios, each with problems that I have looked at. Can they be fixed, maybe (both require surgery). Would it be better if I could find him a working mobile without issues and tinker with the misbehaving radios, absolutely. So, if you have a basic UHF/VHF mobile that could be donated or sold for a reasonable price please reach out to me. I'm thinking a FT-1900, FT-7900, something like that (just examples, other manufacturers ok too). Simple, no whizz bang radio. He's blind so that's an important criteria.
