The Colorado Traffic Section Net holds a monthly simplex test to test our
equipment and ability to operate in emergencies or when there is a failure
on the Colorado Connection repeater system. This is a great opportunity for
all licensed amateur radio operators to test their ability to make contact
on these frequencies used during this test.

The monthly tests are held on 3.989 MHz LSB and 147.54 two-meter FM simplex
and the monthly test begins at 7:00 PM (local mountain time) and the next
test will be today, Monday, November 14. (There will be NO regular VHF
Colorado Traffic Section Net on the Colorado Connection Repeater System on
the night of the monthly simplex test. The 75 Meter traffic net will take
place at the regular 6:45 PM time on 3.989.)

If you are in the Colorado Springs area, I would especially appreciate
having you check in on 147.54 to see if I can reach you from my location.
This might also provide an opportunity to practice a relay. Again, this is
open to ALL licensed radio operators. Please join the test at 7:00 PM,
tonight!
