[PPRAANet] SOTA Activation

Hi all... quick heads up...

I will be doing a First Activation of Booth Mtn. later today with Josh,
K0NAJ... about 2:00pm local.  We'll be on 146.52.  I was thrilled to get
chased be several first time chasers yesterday.  Way to go!  I hope this
email will allow you to keep it going.

To all potential SOTA Chasers.

 

Tomorrow (Friday) I will be trying to activate two SOTA summits, Tuckaway
Mountain W0C/FR-134, and Mount Garfield W0C/FR-040 with Dan Huber, KN0MAP.
Both are in line-of-site with Colorado Springs.  Both are challenging
6-pointers.  This will be the most challenging SOTA outing I will have
attempted so far.  So getting at least 4 contacts quickly will be of great
value.  I will be on 146.52 MHz.  We are leaving the trailhead by 5:30am and
hope to be on our first summit, Tuckaway Mtn. by 12:00 noon local.  This
summit requires ascending more than 3,000 vertical feet, so it's hard to
predict exactly when we'll get on the air. but noon is my best estimate.
Then if we have the time and energy, we will attempt a second activation on
Mt. Garfield later in the day.  Once on top I think Dan will be able to spot
us.  So, you can either monitor 146.52, or SOTAwatch3.  Any and all Chaser
contacts will be greatly appreciated.
