[PPRAANet] beginning of summer short-skip season

6 meters is open to XE and the west coast this morning.  This is the 
first E-skip opening on 6 meters this season that I am aware of.
Hopefully this is a harbinger of things to come.  E skip usually peaks 
in late May and June, then starts declining in July.  There is also a 
minor E-skip season around New Year's.  For you newcomers, if the the Es 
get intense enough (very short skip distances on 6 meters), it is 
possible to have a 2-meter E-skip opening.  This is an extremely rare 
occurrence, but it CAN happen.
