It has been about 7 weeks since I returned home from rehabilitation and trying to assimilate into home life has been hard. Trying to walk on 2 legs without a walker or cane is slowly evolving. Fixing food required pre-planning and keeping very focused. I am pleased my voice is slowly returning. I am grateful way beyond words to the folks who came to see me and were very successful keeping my spirits high when I was not doing a good job myself. All the folks who have come to help turn my yard HRO back into a yard. It is so great to see dirt instead of scrap electronics. I don't do much in my shack as it is 85% + day and night, I am glad I am not a chocolate bar. I sit around a lot, too hot to do anything but watch volcano videos....well if it is going to be as hot as a volcano I might as well watch volcanoes.
Hey anybody have an idea for a ham operating goal? I need a reason to get back on HF but have done so much during COVID not sure what to try for next. I have to get my wires fixed to get back on the low bands.
Since I had to place my step-mother on hospice we are feeding our savings with money for the eventual trip to Arkansas. Dave AD0QD and Jim KD0KQL have taken much to the recyclers and brought monies back to feed the trip account. A great big hug to you both for supporting us.
Well enough crying in my root beer, no sugar, no caffeine.
73s to all
