It is with a heavy heart I make this announcement. The Big Train Restaurant
will be closing permanently on January 23th being the last day we are open
to the public.
>From us staff to our loyal customers I would like to apologize. We have
given it everything we can give it. Blood sweat and tears. Working
tirelessly through the move and the shut downs and the staff shortages.
Unfortunately our best efforts were not enough to save this Colorado
Springs Icon. We know this was a staple in the community for generations,
and how much this means to a lot of your families. It means the same to us.
All of you loyal customers mean so much to us. Through years of coffee,
conversations and biscuits and gravy we've all bonded. This is going to be
the hardest chapter we've had to face yet as we shut the doors to the
family atmosphere we've built with you all. We want to thank all of you for
the memories and loyalty and time you've given us to not only be your
waitstaff but your friends. The Big Train wasn't just a restaurant, it was
community, laughs, and togetherness. We come to you now to say that we gave
it everything we could and rode it till the wheels fell off. We will be
around for the rest of the month to answer any questions you may have, and
to say our goodbyes. Feel free to call the restaurant, come in, or even
send a message. All messages sent through Google will be answered by me as
well. Please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here for you all.
