[PPRAANet] Meetings at Big Train on Thursdays

All,

  Just because Mike is out of action for a while, doesn't mean that the Thursday get together at Big Train is discontinued.  We still meet on Thursdays from around 8:00 AM until around 11:00 AM.  If there are any friends or family needing to have training for Technician or General, please have them show up and we can get it started.  Mike and I are both ARRL certified instructors.
  It's not just hard work studying for the tests, it's getting together with other hams and discussing the many aspects of the hobby.  If not for our socializing, I would have never been able to link my WSJT X, QRZ and EQsl accounts together to auto log my contacts.  It's been an excellent time saver and no one has to wait for me to manually upload my contact information from WSJT X to QRZ and EQsl to make confirmations for qrid squares/counties/states/countries etc.  Thanks to Derek, K0ATV, it's immediate and was easy to set up.  Just one example of what happens here over breakfast.
  Hope to have you join us soon and share your experience and knowledge of Amateur Radio with the group.  In the meantime, Mike is progressing in his recovery and should be able to have visitors in the near future.  I'll keep you posted with my updates on the reflector.
