All,

  To all who couldn't make it to the Veterans Day special event,  you really missed out!  Mike, wv7t,  hit it out of the park as usual.  We got to experience just about everything that could go wrong with a well planned event.  After some dead ends,  all the problems got fixed and the contacts started to roll in.  This is why we always bring much more equipment than we think we're going to need.
  It was windy, but a beautiful Colorado Fall day.  Lots of hams dropped in to chat and catch up.  The non-hams that we know as regulars at Big Train came out to visit and meet us and since many are Veterans,  there were many war stories back and forth.
  What a fine example of cooperation,  fellowship and friendship on display today!

Today at Big Train restaurant at 808 Garden of the Gods a special event station with KØUSN will be operated from  8am till 2 pm. Come on out and see the station and what it takes to set up and operate a special event station. Talk in on 146.460 simplex.
