[PPRAANet] IC-7300 v 1.4

Greetings to all my fellow IC-7300 peeps.

I have noted that some IT technologists retired and otherwise, have some
moderate to severe trepidations regarding the 1.4 update. After discussing
this issue with my non 7300 friend the turpitude is probably warranted. For
the unwashed, fearless compulsive updaters such as I, free additional
features are to be JUMPED on Immediately! Damn the torpedoes and full speed
ahead!

I will, at this juncture, confess that at first I did not appreciate the
offering but after playing a bit and watching a couple of YouTube videos
the update is somewhere between very and extremely impressive!

Now doing the update is somewhat technical but then the whole Ham Radio
thing is a bit technical (anyway it’s over my head). If you can read and
follow instructions, you can do it. There is a place where you must keep
your finger on the button longer than you might think. I’m not going to go
into detail about this as it frustrated me and I don’t want to deny you the
ecstasy of solving the puzzle.

Note that you can brick the 7300 if the power goes out mid process (or you
otherwise screw up). But after doing bios updates to four different
computers, a dozen rather involved updates to my QCX and two updates to my
7300 this has never happened. But it could . . .

Anyway, watch the videos, do the update and open up a whole new 7300
experience!
