The second weekend of the ARRL EME (Earth Moon Earth/moon bounce)
contest starts this Friday, December 17^th at /5PM MST and goes until
the moon sets on Saturday, December 18th at 6:50 AM and again when/ the
moon rises on Saturday evening December 18^th at 4:16 PM until the moon
sets at 7:49 AM on Sunday December 19^th . Anyone interested in
attending, please contact Ray Uberecken, AA0L, at the email address
listed below. The Plishner Radio Astronomy and Science Center is
located at 9301 County Road 20, Haswell, CO.
Everyone is invited to come and learn about and operate in the moon
bounce contest. Last year was our first time we ever bounced a radio
signal off the moon and heard our return signal on both CW and SSB. We
made many contacts in Europe, USA, Australia, Japan, Alaska and Canada.
We had even better success during the November portion of the contest
last month. Your code speed is not a problem, and we will be using CW,
SSB and JT-65/Q-65. We will be operating on the 23 centimeter, 1.2GHz
band. Weather should be clear and dry with the daytime temperatures in
the mid 40’s and the overnight lows in the mid-teens. Please RSVP to
Ray at rayuberecken at gmail.com <mailto:rayuberecken at gmail.com> or Myron

Thanks,
