All,
The last couple of days there has been ongoing interference on the PPMFA 146.970 repeater. It is coming in on the input of the 2 meter side (146.370), not the 70 cm side.
We need to have everyone check for a stuck microphone. Also, if you are doing any of the following, please turn them off:
A. Using VOX or voice operated microphone or headset. These are a common source of unintentional transmissions.
B. Set up as a “remote base” on the 146.970. We have seen these get stuck or flutter.
C. Set up as a cross-band repeater to access the 146.970. Same issues.
If you want to direction find the source, you can use a simple dipole and listen on 146.370 MHz as you rotate it around. When the signal is the lowest, then the dipole in in line with the source.
