Big item: Today Governor Polis issued a Stay at Home order for the entire state from 6 AM on 26 March thru 11 April. Exact details of the order will be released later.
This is NOT a Shelter In Place order. You will still be able to go out to do essential things and essential businesses will still be open.
Colorado Case Summary (Updated 3/25/20 at 4:00 p.m.)
Note: This summary only includes data through 3/24 and does not reflect cases since then.
1,086 cases*
147 hospitalized
36 counties
8,064 people tested
19 deaths **Correction** (earlier report said 20)
9 outbreaks at residential and non-hospital health care facilities
For El Paso county, the report says we have 122 cases and 5 deaths, Teller has 3 cases and 1 death.
For the bases: All the Air Force/Space Force bases have increased the Health Protection level to C. Peterson has reported 2 cases, Schriever now has 2 cases, and we know that Ft Carson has reported at least 1 case.

Also of note: A couple in Arizona poisoned themselves and the man died after they self medicated using chloroquine phosphate they had for treating their koi. Apparently they thought "chloroquine" would prevent them from getting COVID19. They confused the drug with hydroxychloroquine which, when combined with azithromycin, has reportedly shown good results for treating COVID19 after infection. DON'T TRY TO SELF MEDICATE WITH PET SUPPLIES!
This kind of goes along with the warning not to use denatured alcohol to make hand sanitizer, not to drink bleach, etc.
FYI, you can't use vodka for hand sanitizer either. Most vodkas and other hard booze are going to be around 40-45% alcohol. Hand sanitizer needs to be at least 60% alcohol. That also means if you mix normal 70% "rubbing alcohol" with anything, you will likely be below 60% so it isn't really very good for hand sanitizer either. So for those of you who ran out and bought 70% alcohol... sorry, you probably wasted your money.
Our first Health and Welfare Net was today. We had 32 participants (including a GMRS operator) and a good after net discussion. This net will meet daily at 12:30 in the afternoon on the PPFMA repeaters, 146.970/448.450, thru the end of April or as needed. All amateur radio operators are welcome.
Please feel free to forward this information.
