Greetings all
I have for sale, essentially new in-the-box, an ICOM IC-2730A mobile (or base) dual band FM transceiver. I bought it just a few months ago, fully intending to put it to use in my house. Then, last month, I decided to get a different ICOM unit. I only had the 2730 out of the box to install a couple magnets on the remote control-head to allow mounting it on a ferrous metal surface.
I just need to get my $240 back from it. (to avoid marital strife!)
It really is a great unit. The ICOM profile is pasted below. One feature which they do NOT publicize is that it is capable of cross-band repeat. I'll gladly provide links that show precisely how to put it into that mode.
Hmmm, I don't know how well this will go through the reflector, but hopefully it is readable....

Analog has never been so simple as with the IC-2730A! The IC-2730A is an easy to use, dual band mobile with simultaneous receive as 50 Watts RF output on both VHF and UHF. The separate tuning, volume, and squelch knobs, as well as basic control buttons, on each side of the radio, allowing you to have quick and precise control over your radio without taking your eyes off the road.
Output Power
50W, 15W, 5W
RX Frequencies:
118-174MHz & 375-550MHz
Memory Channels:
1052 (includes 50 scan edges & 2 call)
VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF Simultaneous Receive
The IC-2730A provides VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF simultaneous receive capability as well as VHF/UHF receive. Main dials, volume, squelch knobs and primal buttons are symmetrically laid out for each band.
Easy Visibility
The display size of the IC-2730A is 1.5 times larger its predecessor, the IC-2720H. Frequency display and channel names are larger, and the white backlight provides higher contrast.
