ALCON,
Today, Saturday 26 October, from 0800 thru at least 1200, possibly later, there will be an Amateur Radio Simulated Emergency Test (SET) in Colorado.
The goal of this SET is to gather infrastructure status around the state.
We will be looking for actual, not simulated, status of the following areas:
1. Safety and Security (Government, Law Enforcement, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, Search and Rescue)
2. Food, Water, and Shelter (Evacuations, Sheltering, Food, Water)
3. Health and Medical (Medical Care, Public Health)
4. Energy (Power, Fuel, Natural Gas, Propane)
5. Communications (Infrastructure, Messaging, 911/Dispatch, Public Information)
6. Transportation (Roads, Mass Transit, Railways, Aviation)
7. Hazardous Materials (Facilities, Waste Water, Debris Management)
8. Additional Items (Flooding, Air Quality, Fire, Agriculture)
For El Paso county, I will be monitoring the PPFMA 146.970/448.450 repeater and will be periodically asking for reports.
If you want to send a report, just contact me there and let me know where you are and what your status is. If everything is normal, nothing to report, that is perfect, just say "Everything is normal". If there actually is an issue, state the specific problem(s).
Super simple and won't take more than a few minutes of your time. I will consolidate and forward the information.
