The Scouts will have their annual Jamboree-On-The-Air (JOTA) on 18-20 October. https://www.scouting.org/jota/
PPRAA member David Molter, AD0QD, will be at the Pikes Peak Council BSA, Service Center 985 W. Fillmore Colorado Springs, CO 80907
>From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday the 19th of October leading the Scouts in activities.
There will be Scouts from all over on the air, so David says dial up your radio and listen for young voices. If you get a chance to talk to the Scouts, ask them questions to get them talking, not just things they can answer with a yes/no. Keep in mind they sometimes may be trying to make contact with other Scouts, so if they are specifically calling for other Scouts, let them tag up, but otherwise, they can always use more people to talk to. David says a couple frequencies to listen to would be 14.290 USB and 28.390 USB.
Here is some more info and more frequencies: https://www.scouting.org/jota/operators-guides/
