A surprise geomagnetic storm is underway on May 14th.  Storm levels are
currently at G2 (moderately strong).  More geomagnetic storms are
predicted on May 15 and May 16 (G1 and G2 levels).  These are from
multiple CMEs generated near sunspot AR2741.
See http://spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=14&month=05&year=2019
for more information. Last night, the Planetary K-Index reached 7, which
is a major event.  Geomagnetic storms usually result in high signal
absorption at lower frequencies, but almost anything is possible at
higher frequencies, like the 50 Mhz band (we're probably too far south
to experience auroral propagation).  Also see
