[PPRAANet] MAJOR INTERFERENCE ON 146.970!

     To All:

   Is anyone trying to listen in on the '970 repeater??? It has now 
stopped but for about 10 minutes I was receiving the interference at about

an S5( half scale) reading on my receiver. This occurred about 10 or so 
minutes ago and the interference lasted approximately for about

10 or so minutes on and off! This occurred and ended about 7:41 local time.

   The interference would have "severely" affected any regular/ possible 
emergency communications had it been necessary!! This signal/ interference

not only appeared on the output frequency but doing a reverse the 
interference was also on the input frequency off the 970 repeater 
meaning the

signal was splattering all over the place!! The signal did NOT key the 
repeater but was on the output frequency. When the repeater keys/ someone

is talking on the repeater I get the repeater full scale/ S9! The 
offending signal was half scale!

   I didn't go to VFO and check to see just how broad the "OFFENDING" 
signal was but even at .370 and .970 the offending signal is totally

way, way out of approved RF parameters of FCC rules!

   Just curious to see if anyone else noticed this incident! It was 
spuratic, it was not one big long continuous signal but it was there and 
then

gone and then again and so forth. It kind of reminded me of a digipeter 
type of signal transmit, pause, then retransmit!!

   This occurs totally random this is the 2nd time I've noticed this in 
probably 3 or 4 months but when it does it reeks havoc, at least on my end.
