     To All:

Some of us were boy/ girl scouts, some of us are ARES/ RACES people
with our "Go Bags" for bugging out.

Some of us are just plain Joe's/ Jane's.Where is this all going you may
wonder? I'm on my change out the old batteries

in flash lights, smoke detectors, clocks, etc.,etc.

So...... while I was thinking about it I thought I'd pass along a
little reminder. Once a year is my normal swap out cycle

even if I haven't used the flash lights excessively. The clocks have
been keeping time all year long. I try to pick a date like

Thanksgiving or Christmas or Easter. To further prevent forgetfulness I
tag in some fashion the date. Even if the flashlights

weren't used heavily, batteries gone dead, I still try to stick to a
schedule. Nothing worse than needing a flashlight only to

find out "Oops, Dead Batteries"! Plus people with youngsters or even
Grandparents may need batteries for the upcoming

toy fest come Christmas morns!

If nothing else, sometimes the batteries will leak and "RUIN" a good
flashlight!! Especially in the Mag Light flashlights!

Why I don't know but Mag lights seem to experience leaking batteries
more so than regular flashlights! Have you ever tried to

salvage a Mag light from a leaky battery?? If not, lets just say it
isn't a easy task, "IF" you're successful. The chemicals in even

a normal battery will "EAT" into the aluminum making it almost
impossible to remove the leaky cell and Mag lights ain't cheap!!

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Don't forget to keep Rich in
our thoughts and prayers!
