Forwarding this message from Gary, WA2JQZ this morning.  He tried to
send it through the reflector, and it didn't go through.  We'll see if
mine works.

Subject: Schedule with NASA JPL Wednesday evening.

I would like to pass this information on to the club.

I made a schedule tomorrow evening, Wednesday, at 5 pm local (0000z), to
contact W6VIO, the club station at NASA JPL, as part of the year-long
NASA On The Air set of special events.  I plan to operate from the PPRAA
club station in Ellicott after I get off work. The operator at JPL is
Mike K6ICS. I had tried to contact him from my home QTH one evening, and
although I heard him, he didn't hear me.  I want to try again at the
club station in Ellicott.

We will first try 20 meter CW, although 20 meters tends to drop out
quickly after sunset.  We will then try 30 meters. And we may then try
40 meters.  Mike may also want to try SSB, if that is workable. Mike
will coordinate with me by cell phone.  He will find a clear frequency,
and he will text me where he is.  If am able to hear him and work him, I
will spot him on dxwatch.com.  Therefore you would be able to follow
where we are. Although we made the schedule, Mike is inviting others to
try to contact him too, as this is part of the NASA On The Air year-long
celebration.

You can learn about the NASA On The Air events here:
http://nasaontheair.wordpress.com/
http://nn4sa.wordpress.com/

Data for all of the contacts with the NASA clubs are being compiled
together, so that one can earn a combined certificate at the end of the
year.  To check your contact record to date:
http://nota.ka0s.net/ (KA0S is an officer at the NASA Marshall club.)

They have a Facebook group, which I have been using to keep in touch
with what they are up to.  One has to be a ham to join that group (they
ask you for your call sign).  Search for "NASA On The Air (NOTA)".

Mike K6ICS is interested to make schedules with additional hams who
would like to make contact with the JPL club. Mike is retired and has
some flexibility with time.  He can operate 10 to 40 meters.  If you are
interested in that, let me know, and I will pass on to you his contact
information individually. Or if you join the Facebook group, you can get
his information there as well.

73,
Gary
