I'm sharing this on my FB site from Deborah's FB site. Deborah passed away this morning, April 16 2018. She wrote this a few months ago and wanted it let out to the public. Tears cannot wash away the pain that we are all going through right now....... here are her words:

Deborah Kirwan Bonifas

If you are reading this, I am gone. Not from your memories or lives, per se, but no longer of this Earth. I put up a valiant fight against the demon named pancreatic cancer. And, in doing so, I also felt your love and friendship in person and on social media. I had hoped and wished, pre-diagnosis, to be more active on social justice issues, fueled by the Women's March on Denver. I had hoped and wished post-diagnosis for more time (even knowing "more time" is a greedy little bugger) with family and friends. I made the most of the time given me and have no regrets. So, my words to you: spend time with those you love, make time for it; lend your voice to your passion; come to grips with your past and your life; and find your best relationship with your spiritual side. In short: love, be loved and have no regrets. Thanks for sharing this life with me.

A memorial service will be held at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, 730 North Tejon Street, Colorado Springs, 80903. More details of the date and time will follow.
