[PPRAANet] 2m net

     I, like some others, thought overall the net went very well!! Like 
Jim, I also tried to copy some of the calls
for the log but got a little befuddled! LOL!
   I was very pleased at the turn out, if anyone would lend an ear I 
gave them the scoop on the net as to time,
place (freq., tone), date and what we, the club hoped to accomplish over 
the air. I talked it up!!!
   We had 2 people add 1 upcoming event and Dick, KD8EQ, tell about the 
"Spotter Plotter" they he with the
help of a few others put together for the severe weather nets.
   Mike also put it out that anyone/ club with upcoming events could 
forward them to him for inclusion in the
event portion of the net.
    If it is our intent to foster community awareness, I think possibly, 
in some way shape or form make it abundantly
clear that the net happens with the blessing of CMRG and hosted by PPRAA 
but is NOT strictly a Club only info
net but a Amateur Radio Community Net for the Colorado Springs and 
surrounding area. Mike did state in the
preamble that it was open to all but what I'm attempting to say that it 
is a community bulletin board for lack of
better words! Kind of a 1 stop shop for happenings in  the area!! Should 
also generate a larger audience?
   John (SFY) could have added upcoming Ares/ Races events that could 
use some help and if nothing else, let people
know about them so they could watch!
   Again GREAT first time, Grand Opening net!! My comments weren't meant 
in the negative and I hope they
are NOT construed as such! May the net live long and prosper!!! Good job
