[PPRAANet] Ham operators come to the rescue again

They(the Ham Operators)were helping all they could down in Texas and down in
Florida and now down in Puerto Rico.  The Red Cross called up the ARRL and
ask for 50 Ham operators to help down in Puerto Rico.  In a couple days they
had over 500 asking to go.  ARRL picked 50 operators with equipment they had
to send down to Puerto Rico with them.  The Red Cross has the operators at
the Hospitals and at places set up to pass messages and also some are riding
with the police for communication. 

 

At the Shooting in Las Vegas with over 500 people hurt, the local Club sent
ham operators to the hospitals and the various hospital send some operators
to places that could be used by the hospitals for help.
