PPRAA 10m Net
The PPRAA Net meets every Thursday at 1900 hrs local time on 28.390MHz.
It's an informal rag chew and radio adjusting forum. We meet on 28.390 USB
at 7 PM. After hearing from all that check-in, we then go to other
frequencies and modes. This gets the multi-mode rigs on the air and we find
out what they can do. Frequencies are 50.125 USB, 52.525 FM, 144.220 USB,
446.00 FM, 432.100 USB. These last will be with vertical antennas. If Techs
check in on SSB then we will come back to SSB after each mode change so the
Techs can listen to AM/FM and report what they heard. It's a good
opportunity to learn how to adjust your rig for other modes besides SSB.
Doc, W0MCT will normally be the net control.

Mike,

At the club station there are several logs of contacts made using AF0S, ready to be retrieved.

I will be traveling to Ellicott after the meet and greet at Carls Jr. I don't plan to be there for a long time.

Last Saturday, Gary (WA2JQZ) brought his transceiver out to Ellicott,
and we operated in the CQ WW CW contest.? We had a lot of fun, but I
don't think the conditions were that good.? We only made a handful of
contacts on 10 meters, but made a lot on 15, 20, and 40.? The 40-meter
loop seemed to outperform the Butternut on that band for DXing.? We made
125 contacts.
