[PPRAANet] Hawaii QSO party

We had a great day Saturday at Ellicott. 9 folks attended including my present Tech students the Olsons. A second station was brought out and set up and did very well. We had a band full of Kansas QSO party and the Ohio QSO party. We used the FT-857 on SSB, and I set up my Yaesu FT-817. My goal was to work Hawaii with less than 1 watt, I met that goal 3 times. I used 800 mW on SSB then worked 2 cw stations (one on 20m one on 15m) with 500 mW. It got uncomfortably warm, into the 90s inside the trailer. Ed worked on the Heathkit 6 meter rig donated by Raleigh N4HYF. I left about 5:30 pm.
