Hello Jim,Here is the Information on the next classes for MEREO. Please pass this along to anyone who will want to get it. Skywarn Information CourseThis course walks through all the information needed to become a certified Skywarn Spotter. Once the course lecture is over, all participants will be able to take the Quiz’s needed for their Skywarn Certificate on the MetEd website while in the classroom. This class is free to the public, and all ages are welcome.Next Teaching: March 12th from 1:30pm-5:30pm At the Ruth Holley Library in Colorado Springs, CO FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800 CourseThis 2-day course teaches 4 FEMA ICS Courses from a Certified FEMA Instructor. This course is split into two half day classes with 100 & 200 on Day 1 and 700 & 800 on day two. A small table top exercise is also done at the end of each class day to help understand the given information for the ICS. All participants will be given the exam in class for their ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800 Certificates. This course is Free to the public, and is recommended for ages 16 and up.Next Teaching: April 2nd & 9th from 12:30-5:30pm at the Ruth Holley Library in Colorado Springs, CO Ham Radio Technician CourseThis 3-day course walks you through the Technician Class License for Amateur Radio. This course has two full days of classroom teachings, and hands on activities to better understand the information needed for the Technician exam. The third day starts with a final review of the information with Q&A, followed by the FCC Technician exam. After the exam is completed on the Third day, the afternoon is open for students to get on an HF Radio, and also bring in personal radios for help with programing, and questions on how to use their radios. This is our only class that has a Course Fee. The Fee of $40 covers the Technician Book, FCC Exam, and the handouts given during the course. This course is recommended for ages 8 and older.Next Teaching: May 7th, 14th & 21st from 8am-6pm at the Penrose Library in Downtown Colorado Springs, CO.  All of these courses are limited to 40 participants, and are open to the public classes. To reserve your seat for these classes please visit http://www.mereowx.org/inpersonclasses.htm.
