Subject: URGENT REQUEST
Folks,
Next weekend is the Pikes Peak Ascent (Saturday) and the Pikes Peak Marathon (Sunday). We are in desperate need of more volunteer operators, especially on Sunday. For Saturday we would like to have at least 22 operators and we only have 17. For Sunday we would like to have at least 20 operators and we only have 13!
- Nearly all positions can be worked with any normal analog (voice) HT.
- A Technician class license is all that is needed.
- We do not require any ICS training for these events.
- No digital requirements.
- No requirements for special ARES ID or clothing.
- You don't have to work both events.
Public service events like these are a cornerstone of what ARES is about and are good practice for when disasters strike.
If you can spare your Sunday or Saturday, PLEASE go to http://216.161.57.107/ARESPSE/Default.aspx and sign-up.
