THANKS Jim, Board, and anyone else involved in this effort. Jim I would
like a copy of the tutorial. What a GREAT asset for all club members!
Now for a question. If I were to use the remote station during a contest,
what would be my location (Colorado or Indiana) ? I have heard this debated,
but never have heard a knowledgeable answer.

Dave N0EOP

Dear PPRAA Members,
The PPRAA board is pleased to announce a new member benefit. Effective
immediately, your club has a remote HF station available for all club members.
As you are reading this email you obviously have the computer and
internet connection to operate the station. Your computer will need a sound card,
headphone or earphone or speakers and a microphone. All you need to do is
send an email to me at jim.w0em at yahoo.com and I will email the recently
developed tutorial that will guide you through downloading the needed
software, installing it and getting yourself on the air. We are working to get
the tutorial added to the members section of ppraa.org so that it is
readily accessible to all members.
Please follow the tutorial carefully and completely. Otherwise you may
experience difficulties. Please contract me via email if you have
difficulties and have made a reasonable effort to correct the situation.
This station does not give you any amateur radio privileges other than
those you already have from the FCC. Do not abuse your license or station
privileges. The station does keep a complete log of all activity. There are
provision to remove operating privileges from those that may abuse their
privileges or the station. Any ticket issued by the FCC or an Official
Observer will be to you as the operator and not the PPRAA nor the remote station.
Please enjoy this club provided asset. I would also like to thank Dan
Martin and Raleigh Holcomb for helping test the remote station.
Jim H., W0EM
