Dick,
Sounds like you have a plan to get yourself onto the road to recovery.
Please keep us all posted.

Let's see I had my Massive heart attack on 30 Oct. They put a balloon
into my right groin and used that to put a stint into my heart. They sent me
home on 5 Nov. (I think they would keep you longer). I started running a
fever around 25 Dec for know reason that I knew of. Then when I would get up
by blood pressure would drop and cause me to get light headed and lose my
balance (only collapsed twice to the floor). So, on 31 Dec I spent 6 hours
while the ER monitored my Blood Pressure at my Cardiologist's request. Then
Sat my pulse went up to 177, BP dropped to 85 over 48, and my temp was 103.
The ER decided to keep me. I got out on Monday 12 Jan. While in the
hospital they did two Cat Scans, Xrays, EEG, Ultrasound of my heart and Carotids,
more blood tests then I could count, and a unit of blood. While they had
me in the hall walking I had a seizure. That kept me in bed, unless I had
help until I was discharged. I have appointments with my Doctor at VA Clinic,
CBC Blood Test, Neurology, Vascular Surgeon, Cardiologist, Colon Dr., The
diagnoses was an infection in my colon. They pumped a lot of antibiotics
via IV into me. I feel pretty good since coming home (the best since my heart
attack) Oh yea, I weighed 180 before heart attack. When I came home I was
150 (hell of a way to lose 30 pounds). When I went back into the hospital I
was only 140. But, now I am back to the 150 (now to keep it right there).

Thanks ALL and 73,
Dave N0EOP

Possibly you've been wondering why I haven't been communicating on the
reflector lately. Nothing personal.

On Sat Nov. 29th I was admitted to Penrose Main with a severe Urinary
Track Infection with the onset of sepsis. I was in intensive care for about 4
days. It sapped all my strength in my legs, placed a strain on my already
bad back, and I was in Penrose until Dec. 12th. I was then transferred to
Springs Village Care Center for rehab and got back home on 12/31.

They had to go in and put a stent in the ureter (the tube between the
bladder & kidney) to isolate the infected kidney stone. On Jan 28th I will
have outpatient surgery to remove the stone. In the meantime I am getting
home health care for the next 3 weeks, and have to use a walker to walk. My
strength is coming back but not as fast as it went south. (I hope I got all
the medical terms correct).

When I got home I had over 1200 e-mails to sift through, and I haven't
been real excited about answering all of them.

So if you don't get replies to any e-mails you send, I hope you will
understand. I appreciate hearing from everybody and all the prayers. I
especially want to thank Jim, W0EM for keeping some of the reflectors up to date.
Jim has been a good friend for many years.

The real depressing thing was not being able to participate in the ARRL
RTTY RU or the NAQP this past weekend. I've always entered those. I was
impressed by some of the scores I saw posted on the reflector. Great job
guys. I have a brand new FTdx3000 sitting here chomping at the bit.

Dick - W0RAA
