Possibly you've been wondering why I haven't been communicating on the reflector lately.  Nothing personal.  

On Sat Nov. 29th I was admitted to Penrose Main with a severe Urinary Track Infection with the onset of sepsis.  I was in intensive care for about 4 days.  It sapped all my strength in my legs, placed a strain on my already bad back, and I was in Penrose until Dec. 12th.  I was then transferred to Springs Village Care Center for rehab and got back home on 12/31.  

They had to go in and put a stent in the ureter (the tube between the bladder & kidney) to isolate the infected kidney stone.  On Jan 28th I will have outpatient surgery to remove the stone.  In the meantime I am getting home health care for the next 3 weeks, and have to use a walker to walk.  My strength is coming back but not as fast as it went south. (I hope I got all the medical terms correct).

When I got home I had over 1200 e-mails to sift through, and I haven't been real excited about answering all of them.  

So if you don't get replies to any e-mails you send, I hope you will understand.  I appreciate hearing from everybody and all the prayers.  I especially want to thank Jim, W0EM for keeping some of the reflectors up to date.  Jim has been a good friend for many years.

The real depressing thing was not being able to participate in the ARRL   RTTY RU or the NAQP this past weekend.  I've always entered those. I was impressed by some of the scores I saw posted on the reflector.  Great job guys.  I have a brand new FTdx3000 sitting here chomping at the bit.
