Howdy PPRAA,

While I’ve spoken to a couple of you at the two club meetings I’ve attended, I thought it best I fire off an introduction note before I start posting all the questions I have as a new HAM.

Profession:  Geospatial Developer (aka:  computer mapping geek - hence the “KNOW MAP” vanity call sign)

I received my Technician license in early October, but have been interested in radio comms for over 20 years as I was once a radio maintenance technician in the Air Guard.  Currently a member of the Teller County Search and Rescue, and looking to get more involved in ARES and other emergency communications activities.  I’m spending my time now learning all that I can do with my Kenwood Dual Band radio (TM-D710) - APRS, Packet, and monitoring all the local repeaters.

Lots more I could say, but really don’t want to bore you any more than I have so I will sign out now.
