[PPRAANet] PPRAA 75th Anniversary Special Event Station

Hi club members,

On Saturday, July 12th, 2014 the PPRAA is operating a special event station to celebrate the club's 75th Anniversary.  The location will be at the club's station south of Ellicott.

We will be operating phone on 20 meters, 14.275 Mhz plus or minus QRM.  If anyone is interested in operating CW we will also setup a station for that.  We plan to start setup as early as possible and get on the air by 9AM.  Finishing time will be at 7PM or earlier, depending on the number of operators.

To assure a successful operation I need some information from club members.  If there are more than 2-3 planning to attend around the noon hour we will work to provide something like a party tray/cold cuts for lunch and drinks.  Hope the board will approve the $$$.

Information needed,

1.  If you plan to attend and/or operate.
2.  Hours you can operate.  We will try to limit operating time to one hour blocks, but you can operate more than one block.  You can operate less than one hour.
3.  If you plan to attend and can operate CW.  No limit on fast or slow operating.

This is not to be a repeat of Field Day.  But, everyone that wants to come out is invited and will be welcomed.  If you plan to be there near the noon hour and would like lunch with us please let me know so we can assure sufficient food is available.

We will use the club call sign of AF0S.  As you most likely know we can only use one call sign per mode per band at the same time.  If you operate at another location as a special event station as part of the celebration on the same mode and band you will need to use a different call sign.

A suggested QSO script will be provided at the station so don't worry about what to say.  It will be lots of fun so please come out and participate.
