Hi Jim,

I'm glad to hear that you got the problem resolved. It's great to hear the
neighbor responded in a positive
manner.

Hope to work you in the CQ WW RTTY contest this weekend.

Subject: [PPRAANet] RF Noise

Hi,

About a month ago I asked on the reflector if anyone could help me with an
S9+ noise on the amateur bands. I received several helpful replies for which
I am thankful. Jerry Van Derf (sorry if I misspelled your name Jerry)
suggested I contact the Colorado Springs Utilities. With their help, I was
able to locate the source of the noise to a neighbors house. Jim Rader, Jim
Bishop and Virgil Yost helped me work with the neighbor to isolate the
problem. Apparently the problem was a door bell transformer which the
neighbor has since replaced. He said he had been hearing a buzz in his house
since about the time the RF noise started. The buss was from the
transformer.

So the RF noise has been gone for about a week and a half. It sure is nice
to be able to listen to the bands and work stations without having to
contend with an S9+ noise. My thanks again for all the help.

73,

Jim, W0EM
