It's with much sadness that I pass along a Silent Key announcement to the PPRAA.  Dave Shavey, K7WU (Formerly K0HOA here in Colorado Springs) passed away at the age of 83 in Byron, GA. on Monday, October 28th.  

Dave and I had been friends for many years, and he will be missed.  His obituary is in the Gazette on page B5 of today's edition.  He will be buried in Byron, GA.  

I spoke with his XYL, Sue this morning and she said that in addition to Alzheimer's,  Dave had contracted a virus, and his system just could not handle it.  She said he passed away very quietly in the nursing facility where he has been for almost a year.  

If any members wish to send a sympathy card to Sue and her family, I can provide their address in Byron, GA.
