Terry Nicholas Duehr - March 7th, 1951 - February 3rd 2013. Born in Miller,
South Dakota to the late Albert Nicholas Duehr and Gail Lenore Duehr
(Trotman) he lived in, and loved, Colorado most of his life. He is survived
by his son Nathan. At the time of his passing, Terry was a resident of
Elizabeth, CO. His death was incurred by stroke while driving. A sign of
his care and willpower, while feeling the effects of his injury, he exited
a busy road and stopped his car out of harm's way for others. Terry was a
Vietnam Veteran serving 6 years in the Navy aboard the USS Inchon. He held
various jobs in Electronic Component Sales and Management. A lover of dogs,
music, skiing, fishing, model railroading, as well as a firearms
enthusiast, military supporter, trumpet player and avid Amateur Radio
operator (KC0VFO), he also enjoyed driving, especially convertibles with
the top down. A friend to, and loved by many, Terry was a memorable person
who will not be easily forgotten. Terry requested his body be cremated and
ashes scattered in his favorite places in the Colorado mountains. His wish
to have a celebration of his life instead of a formal memorial service,
will be honored at the C. B. and Potts in the Denver Tech Center on
Saturday February 23rd at 6 PM for appetizers, raised mugs, and stories of
his life. Please join us there in remembering Terry. RSVP headcount is
requested via a note to his son, Nathan, via e-mail to
denverpilot at me.comor by calling 303-335-9969.
