I have a Chicago Electric 3KW generator that I use for my radios often.
It's great, and runs well, but is heavy. This one looks nice, but it has
a two-stroke engine, so you need to mix your fuel with two-stroke oil
(50:1). Not a big deal, but you should be aware of it. I have seen this
little generator in action though and it is pretty quiet. Of course
nothing beats the Honda EU1000i for power and quiet, but it costs $1000.
For $79, this could be a great deal.

I always run my generator power through a UPS battery backup that has a
power conditioner, just in case something goes sideways in the
generator. For $79 for the generator, you can afford to buy a nice power
conditioner / UPS and have a good power system on the cheap. Here's a
UPS like the one I use. Mine is a Tripp-Lite, but an older model...

*It's $45 at Office Depot. The upside is that you can continue to
operate for up to an hour after the fuel runs out. If you are just
listening and not transmitting much, you can go longer than an hour on
the UPS. I have my UPS tie-wrapped to the top of my generator and only
use it there. When the generator is stored, I plug the UPS into a wall
outlet so that the battery stays charged. Mine will continuously
charge/condition the battery as long as it is plugged in.

And... here's an eight outlet one for $30 at Best Buy...

I think I'd go for the Cyberpower one at best Buy. In fact, I may go buy
a couple of these for my computers today.
