[PPRAANet] Meeting Reminder and topic(s) announcement

Reminder:  Membership Meeting this Wednesday (January 11th).
Location:   Broadway Deli (driving instruction below, or see
www.ppraa.orgweb site for map)
Meeting start time is 7:00 PM

Topic 1:  We are starting a series on Emergency Communications.  Rob Roller
(N7LV) will be doing a quick overview concentrating on upcoming activities.

Topic 2:  There will be a grounding and bonding presentation with an
emphasis on lightening protection as related to critical communications
facilities.  This will be a primer with reference to resources for further
research and applications.  Cheyenne Mountain Repeater Group folks will be
doing this presentation.

If you have lived around here for any length of time, I'm sure you have
wondered how the radios on the Cheyenne Mountain antenna farm stay running
after being under a full force lightening attack during storms.  Drop by
the PPRAA meeting and find out!

You do not want to miss these topics!

If you have gone past Broadway Deli in the evening you would notice that
they are in the winter hours schedule.  DO NOT WORRY, Broadway Deli is
opening for us Wednesday evening by 6:00 PM.  It is great having a business
that is taking care of us like this, please feel free to show
your gratitude by dropping by prior to the 7:00 meeting and ordering a bite
to eat!
