Hi folks, I have misplaced that wire that goes between the body of the
radio and the control head of FT-857d. If there is someone out there in ham
radio land that has mounted their FT-857 or even the FT-100d in their
vehicle and used the extension kit then you had to remove that wire. If someone
out there still has theirs I am willing to buy it from you.

Thanks and I also want to say thanks to Dan Scott, Les Borst, Kc0nc and
his son JIm, Galen Steele, AG0A and of course it goes without saying the best
tower climber in the state, Steve Sawyer, KT0DX,. All these hams came
over to my place this last Saturday morning, it was still a bit cool, but I
had coffee and donuts, Dick W0raa you missed out of your donuts with the
sprinkly things but they went fast. Anyways the only thing that got in the way
was the apple tree both when bringing the A-3s beam down and then putting
it back up but we managed. While the antenna was down we had to do some
extra repairs, tighten screws, even had to put a piece of pvc pipe in the end
of the boom where the deflector went and then everything in place the rope
handlers did their job and back up to the top it went. I wanted to remove
two sections of tower to make it a 40 foot but Steve said that's a summer
project so I never argue with my tower climber. I just hope his hands are
still good this summer. Les's son Jim and Dan Scott did most of the work
with the ropes. Galen and Les also helped with ropes and taking the gin pole
up to the top.... Only damage was my ego when I started to walk over the
beam on the ground and it shifted and I took a nose dive to the ground. Oh
well.... I took pictures hope to get to Mike Anderson, WV7T to put in the
Dits and Bits or main page of the Zero beat.....

A hearty thanks to all the hams that came.

Mike Dassero, NØmud
