Forwarding this along for Stu - it's a great article in QST. As a former scout leader I think it's great to get scouts involved in ham radio and it's a troop from Colorado. Always cool to see GOOD publicity for a local group!

If you are a current ARRL member, I’d greatly appreciate your online vote for my QST article, ‘GeoFox Radiosport Rally’ in the QST Cover Plaque Poll.  Voting for the August edition articles is going on now.  The winner of this poll receives a nice plaque of the magazine cover, and given that our scouts ARE the cover, that would be really nice.
 
You will need to log-in to your ARRL account online at www.arrl.org .  If you’ve never done that before you may need to set up your access and password first.  After you have logged in go to www.arrl.org/qst .  You’ll see a menu selection on the left side for Cover Plaque Poll.  When you select that link a list of the August articles submitted by non-staff writers will be presented for your selection.  The GeoFox article was listed last of five there.  Just click and submit.
 
I’ve received a lot of complimentary email about the article from all around the country, with a lot of folks indicating they’re vote for it in the poll.  This morning the www.scouting.org web site manager for JOTA & the National Jamboree K2BSA amateur station web pages on that site submitted a request to ARRL to reproduce & feature the article on that web site.  If that is approved by ARRL I will send a link for it when available.
