I've posted this on the forum to the PPRA Forum and got a PM stating this would be a better way to contact folks here locally that might be able to help me. This is what I posted up. If you are willing to help me locate the noise I can contact the person or persons responsible and get it taken care of. And be able to be a happy Ham Radio operator.
Please read this, sorry it so long. I wanted to give the best info I could.

I went about fixing this problem the best way I could think of and found out I went the wrong way about it so now I'm here.
Here's my story. Sorry about it being so long.
I have a noise issue.
Iget about 20 over s9 of static and its driving me crazy. I can makecontacts but they have to be putting out some power for me to hear themover the noise. My transmit seems to be fine. I was told it has a great sound.
I called theelectric company (fountain electric). They sent some guys out andclimbed a couple poles in my area and told me everything is fine andthey don't see a problem. I had the meter pulled on the house that I'mrenting and ran the radio with a car battery and the noise was stillthere. I took my radio to a friends house and tried it and the noisewas about like it should be according to my buddy that lives there incomparison to his radio. We took his radio to my house and he wasreceiving the noise too. At this point I think I've cover the fact thatits not in my house and its not my radio. (Hopefully)
I called the FCC andtold them of my problem this morning and they said they would get backto me. I contacted the ARRL by email and received a email back thisafternoon stating the way to go about finding this problem and thecorrect measures to go about handling this problem between the ARRL,FCC, utility company and myself.
I got a call back from the FCCwho told me that what I should do is to get with the local HAM club andask for help. They would know the best way to go about dealing withthis noise problem and/or how to deal with the local utilities. At thattime if nothing can be fixed then to contact the FCC and ARRL again.
So...
Here I am.
Help.
Ilive in Colorado Springs but in Security. I've been a ham for about oneyear and I bet I've met a few of you at Centennial Electronics withSkip and Henry as I hung out down there last winter learning to work onelectronics.
Please contact me if you think you can help me out.By email or here. If you go to QRZ.com you will find a couple pics ofmy station and my email address. Hope to hear from someone.
PS. I drive truck locally but at this time of year I don't put in a lot of hours so I'm around and sometimes not.
Thanks again, Jerry...
