[PPRAANet] 2011 Picnic and Perseids Meteor Shower Reminder

Hello Everyone,


***PPRAA Summer Picnic***


The annual PPRAA picnic will be held at the Field Day Site in Ellicott on 13
August 2010. 

The site is located at 3622 Bar 10 Road, Calhan. See the Field Day 2011 link
for a map.

The club will provide brats, hot dogs, burgers, chips, and drinks. Members
should bring side dishes, salads, or desserts. Coffee and donuts will be
available in the morning for an informal tailgate swap fest and operating
session. Lunch should be ready around noon.

Date: Saturday, August 13, 2011. (Friday, August 12 2011, 1930hrs for the
Perseids watch - see below)
Time: 1000 - 1500

If you plan to attend please email picnic (at) ppraa.org
<mailto:picnic at ppraa.org>  by 10 August so we know how much food we'll need.
Also let us know what you plan to bring (dessert, salad, or side dish) so we
can de-conflict if everyone plans to bring dessert. Also, let us know if you
will be coming Friday night. 

For those who wish to join us the previous evening. We will have a Perseids
Meteor Shower Party at the field day site. Bring your telescope or
binoculars and lawn chairs. This will be an overnight event and camping is
available so bring your RV or tent. Arrive after 1930 but before sundown to
have time to setup. If you have a setup for meteor scatter communications
please bring that too.
