This weekend is the start of the 2010-2011 Contest Season and it starts with 
the CQ WW DX RTTY Contest.  This is by far the biggest RTTY contest of all, 
and participation is world-wide.

I will be operating in this contest as will other locals (hopefully).  I 
never win in this one, but I have a lot of fun.

I would like to invite anybody that wishes to come over and see what a RTTY 
contest is like and possibly operate a little, to please let me know.  My 
shack is not big and can accommodate 2 additional people in the shack.  So, 
it's first come/first served if anyone wants to come by.

My station is a Yaesu FT-950, HyGain TH5DX beam at about 33 feet.  I have an 
AL-811 Amplifier, but don't run it in contests as I always operate Low 
Power. Software is WriteLog.  Everything is computer controlled.  The pace 
can get fast and furious at times, but this will give you an opportunity to 
see if RTTY contesting (or any kind of contesting) is for you.

If more than 2 people respond, we may have to juggle times a bit.

The contest starts at 6 PM (local time) on Friday (Sept. 24) to 6 PM (local 
time) on Sunday (Sept. 26).
