I don't know much about DX, but will be in California (10-08-2010 -
10-12-2010) and would like to try to work some Colorado HAMs from the beach.

I invite any local guys to contact me and help me get ready for this. I
figure that since I am going to California for a wedding, I may as well
have something to do while there.

I'll have an Icom IC-7000, portable antenna and a General Ticket.
However I can work you guys, I want to know.

I am new to this "contesting" thing but am interested. I don't know
which band to use and why. I am really interested in honing my skill and
am looking forward to this opportunity.
