[PPRAANet] Oh-Oh - Scout Show

  All,

We all know that plans normally change a little and sometimes they end 
up changing a lot.  This is about plans that are changing a lot!

The 100th BSA Scout Show and Camporee is to be held the weekend of 
October 9th.  PPRAA is to setup a display in the Phil Long Expo Center 
and on-the-air operations at the camporee was to be handled by Rocky 
Mountain Hams using their communications trailer.  As many know that 
trailer was sold and Rocky Mountain Hams was going to keep it until the 
end of October in order to fulfill their final 2 or 3 commitments.  
Well, the ECOM folks in WY needed the trailer earlier and as of a week 
or so ago, that trailer moved to it's new owners.

We are now scrambling for a shelter to setup a station or two and I'm 
hoping one of you will help us out.  Because of the 2000 to 3000 
expected scouts, we are hoping to find a large trailer with two doors 
(like a toy hauler type).  This way if the weather is good we can try to 
have an organized traffic flow.  We may also need to provide our own 
power.  Because we are just getting into this aspect of the event, we 
are still collecting the information.

In addition for scrambling for a station shelter, we are looking for 
people to help at the Amateur Radio booth inside Phil Long Expo Center.  
We need people to man the display Saturday, October 9th from 10:00 AM - 
5:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

Setup for the Camporee station will be Friday, October 8th and take down 
will be Sunday morning..
