[PPRAANet] Special Event Station.

Hi,

Sorry for any duplication among lists recipients.

On Veterans Day, 11/11/2010, I will be doing a Special Event Station from the Veterans Memorial in Memorial Park in Colorado Springs.  I hope to be on the air before 8:00 AM, about band opening.  Operating frequency will be 14.255 MHz +/-.  I would like to invite everyone to listen in and give me a QSO.  My call, W0EM will be used.  QSL to my address in QRZ.com and I will reply with a special QSL card for the event.  I hope to work until about 12 PM or perhaps later.  

If there is anyone that would like to participate at the site please reply to my email address , W0EM at q dot com.  If I have 2-3 volunteers we can stay on longer.  If you have ever wanted to be on the receiving end of a pileup this is a great chance to experience that.   I will supply all equipment.  

Several veterans groups will have ceremonies starting early and it is always nice to observe those ceremonies and to honor our veterans.  This is my second year and hope to make this year bigger and better than the last.

I plan to have a practice session on Tuesday, 10/26/2010.  Hope to the operating by 9 or 10 AM for 2-3 hours.  Come by the park if you are interested or just listen in.  All QSO's are appreciated.
